I think people expect too much from SA dealerships in regards to courtesy vehicles, don't forget this is a 3rd world country, we are not in Europe where any trip to the dealer would entitle you to a courtesy car.
Hell, even I have been asked to supply a courtesy car when a customer dropped his off for maintenance, when I told him I have no such service he asked to borrow one of my own cars for a few days, I couldn't help but laugh at him.:crazylaugh:

Third world or not, it's the same BMW as in a first world, with probably a higher price tag. They can at least try something. In the other hand, new cars brake so often these days, I dont think they have enough cars to give everyone.:biglol:

Well I must add that I have used 4 BMW Dealerships in my time of ownership and to-date, JSN has topped the list in not just the customer service overall but also in ensuring the customer is happy.

I had a brand new F30 courtesy car when my car was on 97000km and was in for the gearbox repair. Warranty or not, JSN came to the party an provided me with one as soon as it came available (so i waited one afternoon and a bit) but atleast they were honest and got it for me nevertheless. I have also had a cousin of mine whose X5 engine had a wierd noise and the verdict was the engine needed replacing. JSN gave him a car for 2 weeks, no frills and no fuss, they had no cars out so they took one out of stock for him. I referred him to JSN just a month before that, so that shows they care.

So no, your car doesn't have to be in warranty to get a courtesy car, it just depends on the dealership totally.

Am I missing something here, does it really take 5 days to replace an oil level sensor?
