exhaust and motorplan

Has anyone done a decat to a 130 without loosing motorplan?
i took my car to sportech and they said they couldnt do it because the cats are to close to the manifold..:banghead:any ideas? has anyone manged to do other mods and keep motorplan?

Howsit Reese130,
The cats are part of the headers, and you will have to change the headers to get rid of the cats.. Not sure what aftermarket headers are available in SA.. will have to check on that. Another option, take off the headers, cut the cats, take all the shit inside out and weld it back and fit...
Motor Plan will fall away if you change the headers.

Software is available for the 130i, contact Sherwin from Exceed to find out more..

To keep the motorplan and mod, BMW performance goodies are available but they are damn expensive..
otherwise, 50shot NOS and you away, when it breaks take the nos out and send to bmw...

Thanks San sorry been a hectic morning. i'll contact sherwin and see what software he can organise. i spoke to BMW about performance parts but like you say theyre crazy expensive! i reckon i'll wait till motorplan has expired before changing the headers. so a 50shot of nos it is then can you recommend someone to do aftermarket work for me once motorplans not a problem?
