Ever made a purchase you regretted

cant say Ive regretted any of my car purchases, they were all great in their own way.

Lotsa times with the kids, buy stuff (and it aint cheap stuff) and then it just lays there after 2 days lol

Also had a ford bantam and engine had to be redone, head busted after few days of ownership but loved it,

Then I swopped it for a e36 325i and that was the pits, gearbox gave in after 1 day of ownership. Sad part was that I had to sell a genuine set of style 5 wides to fix the gearbox

So far my 850i is topping my list of bad buys!!!
Although its a furious battle between the Mazda 5 and the 850, but 850 seems to be pipping the Mazda to the post as a bad buy..:argh:

My second rallycar was a 1,6 Golf 2, quick, but rubbish. After 6 months I sold it for what I paid for it. During the next owner's 3rd race, the car broke in half just behind the front seats!!:fencelook:

I don't really regret anything, I see it all as a lesson in life.
But if I must pick something I'd say the closest was my Audi A3 1.8T (8L).
I just got a better job with more money and wanted to get rid of my Polo in a hurry and get something "fast".
The deal was rushed, I paid too much, and when I started modding it the thing gave me endless trouble until I eventually sold it and replaced with something with a V6.. Last turbo car I had.

My regret was a E39 525i auto - frustratingly slow. Also discovered afterwards that the engine was changed with a 2nd hand one - my fault for not checking properly. I guess some things you learn afterwards.

Luckily I haven't bought an e-tag yet - so no regrets there :fencelook:

There was buddy, maybe it wasn't introduced in the south African market. You could get E60 520i in Europe aswell.

My buddy had a 520i as a student car, fitted a freeflow and it sounded awesome! There was an Audi R8 also in the housing complex and people used to confuse the sound
