Hi Fanatics,

I trust that you guys have been enjoying the events setup in the recent past. I would like you guys to suggest events you will attend? This will be used to draft an events calendar for 2015.

Please take note that we will be having at least one Charity event during the year, (every year) per province. We will not limit charity events.

List the event you would like as well as if its a social or performance event. Note, all events have a social aspect however some maybe ONLY social, example: Cars and Coffee.

Thread updated with a Poll...

When do you prefer events? You may vote 1, 2, 3 or all if it doesn't really matter!
Saturday
Sunday
Public Holiday

Please note the poll result will be taken into account, however, event dates are also set as and when the venue is available.

Regards,
BMWFanatics Events

BMWfanatics vs.....gymkhana event :inlove:

1) A front wheel drive vs rear wheel drive challenge hosted by BMWfanatics:
Dyno Day
Gymkhana Day
1/4mile Day/and or 800m/1km Day

2) How about a BMW mass park-off and jumble sale thingy thing?
All members that have odds and ends and general BMW ish laying around can come and sell it in an open event?

3) Maybe we could show force at one of the Piston Ring events? 3rd Sunday of any month in Modderfontein.

4) Public Holiday Breakfast Run

Definitely a bmw track day or a 1/4 mile /1km time trial day would be something exciting.

I'm looking forward to the clarens trip and hope more of the fanatics make the effort to join

Track day is definitely on my list. I don't want to be negative but I dont think it will happen in 2015... look at the attendance for dyno day, 35 cars.

Hiring a track for a full track day is north of 80k.

Odi is 20k for 400m and 1000m. And their timing is crap. Its far. Tarlton is over 60k for a pvt event. We have to cover costs somehow. Unless our advertisers chip in and we have a 100% attendance it's going to be a challenge.

Im not saying we cannot attend other clubs events as BMWFANATICS. I have been arranging that. We got discounted rates for the vwclub track day. So far, 1 (one) person has registered afaik.

What about an Amazing Race day around JHB/PTA, dependent on the number of people? Afterwards a braai or something like that.

herrbmw, thunder, jody and I planned a treasure hunt last year but the 94.7 cycle race was on the same day so we cancelled. Then e-tolls came into play.
Will tackle this again for next year. Thanks Bugger.

I really think commitment is the biggy.

Ice cream runs/meets used to pull crowds, so maybe we should start scheduling one or two of these, this could then initiate larger numbers to join at our other events. Just an idea.

We need to have another Ice Cream Run before the rain hits us!
Due to the legality around this event it cannot be an official event.

A meet up with defined start and end times yes. The run, NO.

Ok cool, may not be an official event, but as Dev said, it could start to attract a crowd for future events.

Ice cream run are super cool.

Myself and Exqtr_ did a treasure hunt with the Subaru club a few years back, that was a really awesome day out.

The sound of 10 STI's blasting down ondekkers was so good :inlove:
