Nice car bud,

Welcome to the Fanatics Family, And i hope you will enjoy your stay.

As for the M, I say, leave it as is, the wheels make the ACS kit. Just fix that droopy exhaust...

Sho, it was long hey. 1400km, left at 4 in the morning and arrived in JHB just after 6:30 in the evening. Shared the driving with my GF (who didnt appreciate the stiff gear leaver, clutch or steering), but apart from that our only real complaint was the poor comfort from the wheels (tyre noise and harshness). Set the cruise control for 132 indicated virtually the whole way and only pushed her getting past other cars. Didnt wanna go crazy as firstly its still in the previous owners name, and secondly I wanna get to know her first rather than attempting hero drifts etc on my first corner! Think I did see the needle hit the 160 mark at one point, but for legal reasons I cannot confirm or deny this... Consumption wise we did a steady 10.5l/100 the whole way which wasn't great, but then again I didn't buy her to sip fuel!

There is a small group of guys heading to Midvaal on the 24th if you were interested in taking the car on track to maybe get to know it a bit better. I'll be there with my 30si roadster if you would like to shotgun just to get a feel before you head out on your own.

Congratulations on an epic purchase. It still remains as one of my favourite M cars.

The CSL reps or 19's off the E46 M3 would be a great addition aesthetically. Agreed... Those current rims are a little gangster.

Many safe km's ahead... Enjoy man...

How much did you really have to use the clutch on a journey like this?

Ahhh bud I'd love to, never been round Midvaal before, unfortunately I already have an event on that day, but if it gets cancelled I'm definitely there!

Haha, hardly at all apart from through towns and around fuel stops! Doesn't stop the complaints coming during those times though...
