I understand what you mean. If i could find a reasonably priced 2-door then i would get that, but this one has been in my family for many years and is actually very clean so I dont want to get rid of it.

I understand that its your car, and you can do with it what you will.

But if its clean, and the engine is fine, why not just spend the money on getting to concourse condition, and enjoy it for what it is?

Fair Point. I just feel I need some power in my life now. Maybe it would be better to just recon this and buy a toy or something else with some oomph.

For what its worth, I really feel this is your best option. Have worked on a number of cars over my life, and swapping engines is never easy and/or cheap if you want to do it right. Especially if the engine model was never fitted to the the car model originally.

I also have to agree with the post above. If you don't have a lot of money to play with stay away from power. Recon the engine and enjoy the car for what it is.
