Engine Fault reduced power

I have my first bmw for about a week now. Go it at 198k kms. Today while starting it inbthe after i saw the error. ENgine fault reduced power. Stressed out plz help

Could be the Fuel Pump

See if the car is giving you an error code, like CCID or something. That will help in eliminating the problem

You may want to check whether your petrol cap is not loose. The last time i experienced something like this with my 320i was because one petrol attendant in Bloemfontein did not close the petrol cap. The car sucked in air and ultimately it lost power, the engine light also came on....

It turned out not to be too much of an issue when i took the car to BMW...
