Engine Coolant

I got an Engine Coolant Low warning light on my way home tonight.
When I got home I left it for about an hour and checked under the car, again, no leaks.

I always look at the area where my car was parked when I leave the place, just to make sure there are no leaks I don't know about. So I can safely say that the car has no leaks.

So I decided to open up the hood and this is what i found.

The white stains on the engine cover come from the coolant tank. I did not open the coolant tank because it still felt a bit warm but checked if the lid was tight and it is tightly closed.

The car is 2008 335i E90.

What could be the problem?

cos it's not as suspicious as plastic explosives in the ignition switch

Possible crack around the filler area.
Alternatively the little plastic bleed screw.

Could also be a failling water pump so have a look around the fan blades.

Lol no ways, horatio would be ask if it should be sent off to forensic's because it looks like semen....


Jokes aside. Check 4any signs from the radiator, their clamps and lastly the water pipe.... The water pipe should not be hard

Booked the car in at the dealership. will see what they say.

Took the car to the dealership. They did a pressure test on ther coolant system and found 2 leaks which they sorted out.

Another issue I had recently was violent vibrations on cold start and they said cylinders 4 and 6 were misfiring. They sorted that out as well. Car running well so far. :thumbs:

Car went in to the dealership today. The vibrations on cold start occurred again last week. They said the injectors must be replaced. Might get it back tomorrow.
