ELV emulator installation

Hi guys. Relatively new here. I have a quick question.

I have a the faulty steering lock warning light (red) and I am unable to start the car. I have since bought an emulator but I cant seem to locate any step by step instructions on how to install it..

Anyone who is able to guide me on how I should go about connecting it?

The car is a 2007 E92 325i auto.

For the sake of assisting someone else who might experience the same issue. respond to my own query..lol

1. Get someone with a scan tool to reset the ELV counter
2. Insert Key in the key slot and once the the steering lock is disengaged, disconnect the steering lock from the CAS
3. Connect the emulator to the CAS and ensure that no codes are stored

You will be good to go from there
