electrical light issue

hello fanatics

so as some of you will know iv had an issue with my indicators and hazards only working when they want to, this issue is still not solved, now i have another issue lurking from the dark pits of hell. on my E36 when i start it up in the mornings all cold and stuff, i pop it into revers (auto) and my rear fog dash light and light come on as well as the right turn signal, this is while i have my foot on the brake when i release the brake they dim but lights are still on, on the dash and the actual lights. when i apply the brakes they go brighter, i also get an intermittent clicking warning noise from the dash. (nothing like the warning tone you get when you leave the lights on)

any advice where to start looking.....
could this be earthing faults, where do i find all the earths?
maybe the revers light switch or the brake switch or head light switch.....

anyone had issues like this that have been fixed?

Well, if it was your brake light switch the fuse would usually pop and then your brake lights don't work...

Check you wiring in the boot on the left side you will see there is a rubber casing from boot to boot lid, open this loom and I am sure you will find perished/broken/open wires. This loom twists over the year from opening and closing the boot.

Let me know or post pics if you find it.

Hey. Nothing. Checked wires. Sealed any dodgy looking ones. Cleaned and checked the earth's. No difference to the lights.

ok so now it has gotten worse.
now while the lights are playing the fool i get brake light failure on both the OBC and the actual lights....once the dash lights issue stop then i got brake lights again.
also this morning i was doing some serious maneuvering to get out the really bad drive way and with constant on and off the brakes in revers my car stalled (this is an auto) started up. pumped the brakes to check what was happening the revs started bouncing up and down......and stalled again. the car idols fine until i pump the brakes then she eventually dies as stated.

any ideas.... im so lost i feel like a lost fart in a perfume factory
