hi, some advise please. I'd like to lower my e46, but stuck in a bit of a dilemna. Which 1--- eibach springs? Quoted R2800 (expensive), but good quality/ride, equal drop front and back. Or original spring compression? Quoted 1200, quality? Ride? , can choose drop diff between back and front. If I choose compression, is salt river spring works good choice?

I also want to know if compressed springs is a safe and reliable way to go.

"Do it rite the firest time, go eibach" sounds like a marketing slogan, lol! I think I will then, heard mixed stories bout this compressing. Will google coilovers now!

Hellas ,Where do I get coilovers and how much do they cost?

i did some investigation and came up with 20k so it depends on what else you going to do i would only put them on a heavily boosted car...

20k? Are they insane? Eibach, here I come!

It a pity about the spring compression, some people say drive quality the same, others say it totally f*cks up your suspensio, o well

People who say spring compression is the same, are the people who have got compressed springs and are lying to themselves and to you. It is the cheap crap option. Eibach are a decent set of springs. You getting them supplied and fitted for R2800 or just supplied?

It would make sense that the compressed springs would give a harder ride as the stiffness of the springs (the amount of downward force that it can resist increases in proportion to the amount of compression).

I would go for the Eibach as they were made to be shorter without affecting spring characteristics too much.

Getting it fitted for 2800. No offence taken. I'm not asking which 1 is better,we all no which 1 is better. I'm asking if the compressed springs is that shitty that it doesn't justify the the cash saving. I'm goin eibach anyway:thumbsup:

I have H&R springs on my 330, was about 3k fitted from Supa Quick in Lenz, I'm quite happy with the ride quality.
