Hay guys and girls,

Intro here: https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=88029

I needed a little more 4 wheeled speed in my life after selling my Mazda 6 MPS last year November so on Friday 14 Sept I took delivery of this little monster ::fencelook:

The following week we had to attend a wedding in Yzerfontein so took a few picks on the way down:

So just a few details, its a 2007 335i E90, the car is bone stock with 170 000 km on the clock when I got it. Drives like a absolute dream and when you put the right foot down the smile Really grows.

Looking forward to learning from all the knowledge on the forum.

Welcome!

Lovely car you have there, so much of information available on the N54 platform on the forum with many members documenting their experiences. I miss mine most days :fencelook:

Post your vin on the this thread (https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=73960&page=41&highlight=outstanding) and check that there are no outstanding campaigns on the car, make sure everything is 100% mechanically before you mod. When the bug bites, JB4 and DP, before you go Full Bolt On (FBO).

Hey buddy,

Congrats on the car, I have always loved the way the twin exhausts come out on these non-Msport versions. :blowheart:

So from GP to almost Cape Town without number plates. In such a powerful machine, isn't that just the best way to get to know your new car.

Thanx man, Yeah it was a great way to get acquainted, the no number-plates did not help much as I had some old people in the car but still was a nice trip.

Man.. what a score, a 2007 and still so fresh and clean. It looks so good

If it were mine I'd keep it as stock as possible but peer pressure always leads to builing something that kills everything at the TLGP

I just wanted to give a little more info(update) on the car as the first post was just a quick intro to it.

I got the car with a couple of minor issues:

Bonnet shocks needed to be replaced, this was done by dealership.

I had a engine light that came on, errors showed that is was vanos solenoids and low boost. Vanos solenoids I just cleaned with permission from dealer and that was sorted, mechanics quoted them R7000 for this job. The low boost is a wastegate rattle that will hopefully be sorted out this week, they tried to first just adjust the actuator but bushes are properly worn out, they are just trying to get the best quote on labor to do the work as I already gave them the info on the kit I want installed.

The rear windows have a issue that when they are completely wound down it does not want to wind up again. After a few reprogramming efforts it is still a issue so they now want to replace the regulators to see if that is the issue, although I told them from my research it will not.

then a few issues I will sort out myself if they do the major things:

There is a squeak on then right rear that I think has something to do wih the breaks, when accelerating it screeches but if I just slightly apply the break it is gone so I will look into it myself.

the car has some cheap tires on so I have a slight vibration when breaking, will just wait a bit as they are still new and grip OK.

Then on to the fun things, I already sourced a Procede chip for the car that I will install once everything is sorted.

I also got a set of LED indicator lights for the rear the just needs to be sorted out and then installed.

That is about if for now.

The window issue can be the FRM. I had a similar issue with front windows and it turned out to be FRM
