East London Fanatics Run

This morning a few of us met at Gonubie . Ashley with his e34 540i automatic , me with my e34 540i 6-speed and my e36 328i driven by Jaco . We then went for a drive through East London and met Clutchplate with his e34 540i manual conversion and with the 4 cars we went to Kidds Beach for breakfast . Pity the two manual e34's were stretching their legs and missed the turn off , a few kilos later we turned around and met the others . We had lunch and then back to town . We met at Clutchy's workshop and he quickly downloaded the software from my 540i to his pc .
At least the 540i individual with a 2.93 diff can get ahead of the 540i manual conversion with its lower diff ratio ,even if I went from 3rd at the rev limiter about 160 to 6 th !! Consumption was 15.7 l/100 km for the day .

I quite enjoyed the day and the sound track from Raybimmers and Clutch’s V8 machines, mine seems to be a bit tame when compared, but the old girl had a good run, got rid of some of the cob webs, and must say the road to Kidds Beach is in good condition:rollsmile:

I got nicely sun burnt, forgot to close the roof. :roflol:

I finally managed to get raybimmers 540i in my hands to steal his software hahaha .. and I at least learnt there is a FR34KING big difference between the auto E34 540 software and the 540i individual software ..

@ray .. lol, give me a little while to figure out the definitions from your DME .. then we shall run again mwahaha ..

about time something got started hopefully we can get some more guys next time ..
