Hi guys, I previously owned an lci 320d with xenon headlights, the inside of the light was just black,

on my current car there's a bulb in there, what does it do? When my headlights are on, that bulb is off, high beam on, that bulb is off can anybody advice? I don't think it even comes on when I turn

Well I can tell you about mine, I have a E90 pre lci with xenon's. When I changed my FRM model to a FRM3 things changed in the front with the xenon's and the way they work.

Before the FRM update, my inner lights were my brights (as in a normal car's operation) and my outer lights my driving lights.

After the FRM update, my inner lights NO MORE working and my outer lights changed to BI-XENON meaning that when I flash my headlights the outer lights serves as both the dim and brights.

After looking at this and investigating I found that inside the coding of the FRM there is options for the lights to be changed, like in
* Bi-xenon where the outer lights works as both (a lot brighter than the inners)
* Normal lights, where the inners are your brights

Hope this helps a bit. That outer light being off is of concern.

The inner bulb is for the halos as well as if you have cornering assist.

If u do, then as you turn left or right, that inner lense will light up.

And even when changing to LED replacements, the Halo's will never light up uniform due to their terrible design.

So to change them do I have to go through the pain of removing the tyre and the cover to get to the back of the light?

Very simple to change from the top. But can be tricky for big hands.

Am I right in saying that the inners are always brighter???

Thanks a lot, wow I didn't know that. I will probably have to remove the tyre and the cover anyway cause I ordered 6000k D1S xenon bulbs, so I will wait and do it all at once. The colour temp on the oem bulbs bugs me

That is correct, the outer rings will always light of dull and halfway. That is why I went through the tedious task of replacing the rings themselves.

Hi guys, the last few E92s they made come with white DRLs, do they use a different globe that makes the white colour instead of yellow or is it a whole different light with a module or something?

I think it is just the globe that needs to be changed.
Many guys have changed it already.
It is the H8 Cree LED bulbs. They come in various wattage as well. I've heard the 20w works quite well.
