Good day Fanatics,
I wonder if you can assist, I have a 335 e93 that hit a pot hole a while back and the suspension is off, I am looking to change the whole thing i.e shocks and struts and was wonder if i should go OEM or are there any aftermarket reasonable replacements.
I got a quote from Bosch and it was rather obscene.

Depends on the budget, you can get aftermarket parts for suspension like Meyle HD, Lemforder etc.

Shocks also can't get different stuff like Koni or the likes it all just depends on how much u want to spend.

Good day.

1st thing I would do is take to reputable fitment center and get it checked out thoroughly to see what is the issue and take pictures of said problematic parts.

Sometimes it could be something smaller then doing an entire refresh.

Second question, what is the car doing that leads you to believe that the suspension itself is not right.

With regard to people that assist, we have 3 forum vendors that can assist.

Autobavaria bmw (now bmw midrand) can assist with oem parts at a reduced pricing structure which is solely for BMWFanatics. Speak to Deago or JP and provide them with your forum username when asking for pricing.

Peter@Peter@AEW can asisst with aftermarket shocks and springs combo such as bilstein and koni if I remeber correctly.

@Rennzport can assist with aftermarket drop springs and coilover kits from Kw, St suspensions, AP racing and H&R drop springs.

Obviously, I'm sure all 3 can only provide pricing on required parts once the car is looked at, and this lockdown is over.

Hope this helps.

What mags does your car have? If it's something like the style 225M which is notorious for cracking, it's probably a buckled or a cracked mag or even a wheel that's gone out of round that is sending vibrations through your steering and making you think it's suspension related. I would suggest you first have the car thoroughly inspected

Good day fanatics, thank you for the input , I should've been clearer with what i have done. I took the car to TWT and they mentioned that i would need to change the Subframe bush, rack end, control arms, link stabilizer and of course the shock obsorbers for around R13.5K.
Bosch quoted R25K and I was wondering since i am going to be doing the work in any case, i might as well go with the forum vendors.

With regards to the mags, 2 of them were cracked and I had them welded at the same TWT when they mentioned i need to sort the suspension out.
