E92 M3 (S65) Tappet Cover Refinish

Hey guys,

Anyone did a successful resurface on their tappet covers?

I believe they are magnesium so not as straight forward to redo them but possible. Was hoping someone here had first hand experience.

New cover is around R12k (for one).
Have chatted to Powerkote as well.

Nev ceramic coating is best however you should not sandblast them as it will destroy them.
Look at the possibility of using walnut shells or ice to clean the paint.

Sartor bros can dry ice blast the cover IIRC
