There is apparently a tune that detunes the new M; but don't tell :pimp:

I was wondering about this, I know which car you are talking about, but it doesnt really make sense to me

stock, on paper, e46 M3 is supposed to have 252kw, and e9x 309kw

+-57 difference

now, at the dyno day, I did 220kw, and was told this was normal for a stock e46, while the e92 did +-300kw, which is a difference of +-80kw

so either my car is fucked, the dyno is fucked, or the software on the e92 worked???? maybe I am wrong?????

How can a stock E92 M be doing 300kw on the wheels??? Up here a M does 200wkw(wheel kw) and at the coast 17-22% more than that. Stock on motor at altitude running 98 unleaded it is doing 309kw that is before it encounters the losses of drivetrain etc. My car corrected for altitude is running 273wkw no chip only exhaust?

Hi Edrich

What did Ettiene charge you for the system ? I have heard some pretty good things about him and his standards of workmanship.

do u have to remove when u go to the dealer?

Don't you know that hey don't even look under the bonnet when they service your car? I've had some very specifics missed whilst doing my service at the dealers.

Wow...that is an amazing exhaust...and the power gains..incredible!!! About a 35kw gain.

The baseline figure of 238.6Kw for the new M3...not sure how to react.

if I am right, this is actually rwhp, so accounting for the drivetrain, and altitute losses, it is about right

We have done over 10 E9X M3's and the minimun gain with software only is around 10 kw on the wheels. I doubt you can squeeze much more out with software only.

Here is a graph of s/w only:

And here is s/w with decatt:

Bear in mind that we remapped the car to with a much more aggressive file to take advantage of this breathing mod. The decatt alone made around 8kw on the wheels.
