E90 Xenons

hey guys
anyone know were i can get a pair of xenons for my car
E90 - 325i sportpack.
i have the std lights and want to upgrade the whole headlight
so somewere like a scrap yard as Bmw is to expensive.

If your car is under Motorplan you can't unless you buy the retrofit kit from BMW and have it installed at the dealer, which is around R12k.

A friend got quoted like R30k for his 120i cab....

Ouch maybe it is R30k, on the E46 it is around R12k but you don't have to get the washers any more since the E46 is now "old".

There was a set on the gum for a long time, guy wanted 5.5k per light, that is probably why they were on there for such a long time, not sure if they are still there. Either way it is probably a good place to start.

The problem with the retrofit is adding the auto-leveling capability that is a requirement for HID headlamps in developed countries. That adds a lot to the labor, and has quite a number of parts as well...

Yeah problem with that is that the glare is blinding to other road users almost all the time, whereas with projectors without auto-levelling they blind other only in a couple of situations (where normal halogens would as well). But technically you need the auto-levelling stuff, and I would fit it, if I could find a car that is being stripped with all the bits.

as far as i know, there isnt any rings we can out up onto our E90;s yet, hopefully something does ocme along, i like the angels alot:thumbs:
