(I did search for this before posting but found nothing)
I replaced a broken regulator on my 2006 320d left rear window today. Not sure why it broke, if the window was operated more than a dozen times in the 6 years I have had it that's a lot. I don't have kids and I rarely have rear passengers. I just noticed on Saturday when I started the car in the garage that it sounded like something was open, which it was, using the window switch just dropped it wide open and that was that.
Anyway, removing and replacing it was a piece of cake (and a lot of cash) but now the window seems to have forgotten where closed is. If I close it with the door switch or the driver's door switch it stays closed, but if I use the remote to close all then it closes and reopens about an inch.
My local dealer suggested a manual reset using the switch but that hasn't worked, in the up position if I pull the switch again the window drops the inch again. Any other ideas before I take it in for a dealer reset?
