E90 Tyre Pressure Sensor

Hi,

New to the forum here but a long time BMW driver and fan (unfortunately on a budget) I`ve just bought a 2007 E90 320i, I`'ve got aftermarket rims on it and as a result the tyre pressure sensor warning light is constantly on. Anyone know how I can de-activate this or is it something the dealers can sort out ?

Thanks in advance

Just Reset and see if the warning will appear again

Have you tried to reset the monitor

I don't think the wheels have anything to do with it.
The sensor is in the car somewhere and detects the smallest level change ( i stand to be corrected)

I fear you may have a slow puncture.

You must do the reset immediately after refilling the air, just to make sure that you are resetting it with the correct amount of air in the tyres.

I had the same problem. And then reset via the computer didn't work. I had to plug the car in and reset it. It has never been on again.

LOL, read the owners manual!

As far as I know, the TPMS works with the ABS and will detect a 30% change (increase or decrease) in type pressure based on how the tyres behave while braking. Any time that you have the wheels changed, removed, balance, pressures changed, you have to initialise the TPMS via the cluster - literally takes a few seconds.

Thanks for all the advice gents ! I`ve tried the reset, checked tyre pressures, same tyres all round but it keeps coming on. Next step resetting at agents.

When you are on the TPMS menu, are you then pressing and holding the BC button until it shows a tick? If not, this is what you need to do. It should literally take a few seconds to do.

Had the same problem philip had to use the autologic to reset it. It wouldn't reset on the on board computer
