E90 ticking noise coming from the middle AC vents

Hi all.
So as luck would have it on Xmas day the car started making a noise from the AC vents. Sounds like something is stuck in the blower motor or something and it goes..... tick tick tick tick all the time now.
Rather irritating.
Noise goes faster as you turn the fan speed up... AC still works 100%.
Any ideas to fix?

Hi.

Blower motor sits under the cubby.
Bit of an awkward position to get to it but not rocket science.
In passenger footwell, remove lower cover that has 2 torx screws.
You will see the blower motor. It has a tab the locks it in place. You rotate the whole motor to get it off.
Very easy.
Oh yes and the electrical connector is an easy unplug.

Seems like the bearing on the motor is drying up. Maybe some lithium grease might help.

I had this issue as well, and I suppose it got sorted when the recall for the e series blowers/switches came up in 2019.

Check if that campaign is still outstanding on your car and it be resolved for free if bmw changes it out
