E90 Start DRL/Halo Lights - Help needed

So, being new to the BMW stable, I thought I might as for some advice from the pro's.

As mentioned I have a 320i Start, that has the Halo lights combined with the halogen headlights. The halo lights are from what I can see only park lights (manually switch on) and do not function as DRL's which I would like. The picture is how the lights look when I turn the light switch to the first option, but I want them to be on automatically.

I have played around in the settings menu. Is there any setting I am missing or is there a way to re-code the car to have that as a feature?

Hi OP, you need to have auto headlights switch and the function to get the auto DRL's on by themselves.

You will need to retrofit them if you want them and I believe they are expensive. Sorry OP

The car has auto headlights, which is when you turn the light switch to the left if I'm not mistaken. When I turn the headlight to the left, the lights are just always on.

Maybe the sensor isn't working as it should, and doesn't pick up the light?
