Howzit Peeps

I need to replace the front shocks & mountings on my E90 LCI. Anyone had this done recently? What make would you recommend? I’m in the Littlefalls area.

Thanks Dru

Not really recently but around Q3 2020 I had to replace shocks and front mounts on my E90 and went with BMW shock mounts & Koni shocks.
Felt great, especially for the price!

This was a non Msport LCI E90.

Did my 330d's shocks and mounts last week. I went with Bilstein shock all around. I got it for a great deal through one of my mates, I think I paid R6300 for everything. It drives exceptionally well if I compare it to the collapsed front shock mounts and 2010 OEM rear shocks from factory, haha.

R6300 including Fitment?

My 320d also has a collapsed front shock with extra bounce 🫣

Where you based bud?

Howzit, where can I get Koni shocks in JHB?

Late last year I got a full set of Bilstein B4 Sport shocks for around R8000 from Goldwagen, for my E90 330i with sport suspension. You'll either need to DIY or find someone to fit them though. I can't remember the split, but rears are cheaper than the fronts.

Yeah, but I have to add that my mate owns his own workshop in PE, so he didn’t charge me for fitment.

I have a pre LCI e90 Sport and according to RealOEM mine uses Bilstein B4. I thought about using Koni and Sachs but ended up going with the B4s and buying everything from Imcomex - shocks, top shock mounts and bump stops.

Rears were simple enough to do myself but I pulled the front units and took them to my local Supaquick for them to swap out the shocks as I don't have a spring compressor. Thereafter I put the units back in and tightened it all up before taking it back past Supaquick to get them to check my work, tighten all the control arm bolts properly and do the alignment.
