Mine also flashes on start up and when on the move occasionally(the x35 guys told me this) :fencelook:

The Cold test is on start up and the warm test occurs randomly.
Ask someone with an OBD cable to code out the tests for you.

I can do it but trust me, the M3 got a hectic ECU setup. BMW didn't want to touch when it was throwing fault codes initially.

Even if it can be done I don't want issues, where I have to go back to BMW for something that involves the ECU. For a battery change they loaded new software along with the dreaded Anti-tuning. Its a headache to remove. :yuck:
