E90 Professional Radio

Hi Guys, I am a proud first time BMW owner as of a couple of months. I bought a 2006 320i E91 Exclusive (Yes, I know, it's the mommy wagon one). It has a factory fitted Professional Radio in it with buttons on the steering wheel for volume/channel/phone/air-vent.

One thing I just haven't been able to figure out is how to get the bluetooth settings. My baby doesn't have USB but she does have an aux input in the centre console.

So please correct me if I'm wrong - the Professional radios have bluetooth? If not - what are the phone settings and buttons on the head unit and steering wheel for?

The only thing I could think of is that the bluetooth chip or something must be broken :blueCry: My car is due for service soon but I don't want to look like a fool when I ask the service advisor to help me set up my bluetooth in the car :hammerhead:

Any help from the fundis would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
I am not sure about your question...i would assume it has bluetooth enabled. But look forward to a more competent answer from other members.

The fact that there's buttons on the steering wheel doesn't mean your car has BT. It was a pretty expensive option at the time if I recall.

If you don't see the 'Tel' option when you press the 'Audio' button, then you don't have BT.

And if you don't see the TEL option when pressing that audio button on the radio, then don't stress. MR Gert , named Ratslaaf@OBDWorx here, will sort you out with that.

He is GOOD with these type of things, you want he gets type of person. Awesome dude !

You might have parrot and not Bluetooth however I found that it only works on some phones. iPhones are guaranteed to work(tried and tested) will give you pictures to help you with pairing soon.

Awesome guys, thanks. I'll look out for the above mentioned.

I just find it strange than BMW would put telephone buttons on the radio and steering if there is no way of using them :ty:

First do you have that on the LHS of the steering?

Put the key in the key slot and without pressing the brake pedal press the start/stop button once.

On your phone go to settings an open up Bluetooth settings like this

Select parrot and enter the code should tell you something else on the car stereo.

I gonna give that a go. That is exactly what my car has on the steering and I can't understand why it's there if I can't hook my phone up to the radio. I'll let you know! :)
