E90 oil filter cap

Hi all

I suspect my oil filter(not filler) cap is damaged as there is a slight leak from the cap.
I have replaced the o rings and it still didnt fix the issue.

The strange thing is that it only leaks when the car is started from cold.
Once the car is up to temp the leak stops.

Its definitely not the oil filter housing gasket as the leak is from the top.

I have called a few dealerships and nobody has the part. Only a dealer in Bloem and KZN Midlands.

Does anyone have one lying around or know where i can get one.
Its for an E90 320i 2009 model

I thought that as well but i replaced it yesterday and it was fine thereafter.
Started the car this morning and oil drizzled for about 5 mins and then stopped.
Oil is only coming out from one spot so its not leaking around the entire cap.

Its the 710 filter cap :crazylaugh::crazylaugh: and the scrapyard wants to sell it with the entire housing

And you are torquing it to 25 Nm as required? Usually it's the O-ring that causes problems. Are you using OEM or other filter (and of course the O-rings supplied)?
