E90 m3 possible purchase

Howzit guys

As I have mentioned before I need to scratch my v8 itch again and have come across what looks like a very well specced e90 m3 with decent milage on it

It's a 2010 with 64000kms on it

Anyone know this car perhaps
Reg plate number DR42MX-GP

Just came out of motor plan last month.

What should I be mindful of?
Always worried about bearings on these but with milage so low, should be ok I think?

Once I get it, will be looking for an ACS exhaust (found an Akra set that's been cut up and worried about the ability to weld titanium), some lowering springs and a set of competition pack wheels ( if I can find them).

Hi bud,

that plat is a 2015 reg plate meaning it was re-registered in 2015 for either out of GP origination or the previous owner could have had personalized plates.

so just check with BMW using the VIN its history and then it should be good to go with normal checks. from what i researched, bearing come at a highler mileage closer to 100k however i'm not a guru on it an could be wrong to say that only mileage would bring the time to change those so could be time as well.

Good luck man, i would love that ///M3 as well...so holding thumbs that all checks out for you.

Eish im assuming you cannot extend Mplan now?
maybe an aftermarket warranty perhaps?

Correct, 7 years max has been reached

Getting an smg warranty
Missed the unlimited cover by literally days unfortunately so going with the plans that's available

Bearings should be looked at @ around 80k. So should be OK for now, depending how the previous owner treated the car when cold.

Since its already cut up, it shouldn't be a problem, but note that the e90 is shorter than the e92, and the exhaust will be too long. It will protrude out the bumper too much. You are quite right that there are very few shops able to weld titanium. And those who are willing, usually stuff it up.

Is it a M, or DCT? LCi manuals are very rare

Do you perhaps know how much longer it is?
The tail tips on this set has been cut off so will have to weld another set onto it
This could perhaps resolve the length issue?
