E90 M3 - E63 M6

So, after a little over a year's worth of driving my E90,I began to lust after something with a little more power. In a fit of impulsiveness, I went out looking for an E63 M6 (a rare find in CT). After little searching, I found a very clean 2007 with 80k km's on the clock, immaculate interior, full history with BMW. After a test drive and establishing it was equipped with a Shnitzer exhaust,I took the plunge and decided to make the swap from my beloved E90 M3 to the M6.
All I can say is that my first impressions of the M6 are mind blowing. The sound that comes from the NA V10, and the amount of car that I am paying for,I could think of little on the market to match it in that price range (I paid pretty much the same for my M3 as I am for the M6 with pretty much the same mileage on it). The sound of the V10 is indescribable, the luxury and finish in the cabin is first class, and the brute force of that engine is something to behold. Funny though, the previous owner of my M3 also traded up for an M6.
Tough as it has been to say goodbye to my utterly brilliant M3,the temptation for the V10 was just too much, and although it has been with a heavy heart that I have moved on,I am very much looking forward to the next chapter with the M6. Spec list of the M6 below (obviously there are optional extras like speedo with km reading....:roflol:)

:bravo: Awesome engine, but sadly the gearbox is a bit of a let down in my opinion.
Awesome car though. Congrats.

Don't get me wrong, at full tilt that 'box is awesome, it's a let down when you drive slowly.

Congrats and enjoy, one day that would also be my preferred trade for a bit more of a GT car with loads of power!

Thanks guys, pics to follow soonest. It's a bit miserable down here in CT today and the car does need some detailing,so pics will be up as soon as possible!
Video clip too,the sound of this car is unreal. Nearly killed some old age pensioner the day I test drove it.....lol.
And the gearbox,I can understand why it is loathsome,it seems hesitant in slow traffic,so unless you driving it in "manual" mode, I could imagine it getting very frustrating.
I'll put up some pics of the interior in the meantime!

Congrats. That is a brute of a car. I can see you smiling already. Acceleration on those cars is something else.

Congrats. Yes you pick up the old M6 for a steal nowadays.. I am also tempted. The only negative is the maintenance as very few are still in plan and the thought of coughing up for clutch/brakes on those cars is scary.

I got an invoice from bmw for some of the parts, luckily there is still some plan left on the car. Rear discs are R2700 each and pads about R1400, which I don't think is too bad considering. The gearbox is the worry though. If that goes you in it for R150k (so I've been told).
