With the latest version of BMW SSS and an OBD2 connector you can enable a whole bunch of hidden features, just a mission to get it set up.

Features like?

+1

Well for starters you can enable a permanent digital speed indicator when you press the BC button as well as other variables that usually aren't displayed. You can set what the lock and unlock button does on the keyfob, for example unlock driver door and open sunroof from a single press. You can enable and audible *beep* when locking and unlocking the car.

Theres tons of highly detailed features like lighting, heating, audible warnings, PDC, language, navigation ...

You can set how long you want the interior lights to stay on after pressing the keyfob, or how long after closing the door. Daytime running lights (ece), the exterior home light duration. A lot of these features can actually be done by just playing around with the OBC but not all of them.

As of yet I can only view this information but Im getting a new cable which will allow me to access the K-line data so I can write to the car. This way I will also be able to make changes to individual control units, for example adding a Bluetooth unit to the car and then enabling it. All I can say this is a work in progress for now but will report back once I've actually done these things.

I actually got the SSS running yesterday and played around quite a bit, you can have the car set up completly different for both keys and can also have 2 additional keys (so 4 in total) and each one can have it's custom settings. It is pretty amazing though, retrofitting will be super easy now because you just choose the modules and then code them based on ur ZCS and VO. Only problem I've encountered is that all vehicle control modules are abbreviated in German which I speak but it's still difficult to figure out what on earth each is for, luckily we have google.

Later today I am going to try and code a LKM (light control module) on my brothers e46 because his light switch stopped working and after replacing it, the mileage tamper indicator came one, so hopefully that will remove it, hope I dont cock anything up.
