When she presses the key Fob, does she hear the bootlid actuator clicking?

I know this is unrelated but the only difference between an e92 pre-lci and the lci bootlid is that the pre-lci has a physical lock whereas the lci doesnt....

no definitely no actuator noise at all, not even a little noise. i pushed my ear onto the bootlid to listen, just to make sure.

she got some other dude to come and have a look, and i now see seats being removed and alot of loud banging noises.. so i've just left them to it.

:roflol: :roflol: :roflol:

LOL! okay, now that i re-read that... i probably should've worded it differently

Yeah, my carbon bootlid was off a pre LCi E92 and there is a hole in it for a lock:fencelook:

I would say , if you are unhappy with the bootlid having a lock, that you are welcome to return it back to the original owner! But i don't know what i would do with two carbon bootlids :smilebounce:

Hi guys, same thing happened to me now. After opening the boot, putting my laptop bag in and closing. Started the car and the back globe warning came on. After reversing a bit the boot warning came on. Tried to open the boot and nada. Stuck.

Tried all the suggestions here. Nothing. What now?
Lci doesn’t have a manual key switch.

Back globe, the one on the boot is not working.
Boot open warning keeps beeping on the dash

yeah mate, unfortunately its a mission.

first, check all your fuses and the boot "lock" switch in the cubbyhole incase it was tripped.

if those are fine, you're most likely going to have to remove the rear seats and literally break your way into the boot. this is such a stupid design, its unreal :thumbdo:
