Hey guys...wanted to know if anyones had problems with the E90 BMW Proffesional mp3 deck...tends to start jumping at times..noticed it's more prone to happen when you on bumpier roads..is this normal?..or should I be booking this in..first I believed it was the quality of cd's I used when copying mp3 disks, so copied them on expensive disks and it still happens..sometimes the cd ejects the cd on its own when you open the car.

Tell it to sit still and wear it's seatbelt!

Could very well be the disks and how they are written! Have you tried putting the disks in the changer in the boot to see if this affects it? I used verbatim CD-RW's and have no problems at all...

Rather change the music u listening to lol..

I also used nero.. Never had a prob.. Perhaps try cleaning the lens with a cd lens cleaner.. I had a similar prob and cleaning the lens worked for me

By any chance do you any Justin Bieber songs on the CD ... :fencelook:

On a serious note, what happens with an original CD. If it does the same, try a lens cleaner and see if it makes a difference.

Not the same. Basically it looks like a normal CD with some fine brushes on it.

Most audio shops (Musica, Look n Listen, etc) should stock them, as well as stores like Game, Incredible Corruption, etc.

Have not had the need for one in ages though, so I'm not sure if they still have them around.

Okay, but are you using CD-R's or CD-RW's? And then, what writing speed are you using when burning? If a very high speed this might make the disks harder to read. So for best results use a slower writing speed. I also use Nero!

e90 Radio sucks, mine decided it doesnt wanna eject the mp3 anymore.... SO its stuck inside, i can play the mp3 though but i just cant get it out.... :nonono:

I think i should get an iPod and use the AUX functionality...

I cannot listen to the radio now cause my daughter stuck coins in and it fried something, radio reception comes and goes.
Only use the Aux IPod for music now

I had this issue with my E90, bought a CD lens cleaner for R30 from HiFi Corp and it started working again

lolz...thanks guys...I use CD-R's..didn yet get a chance to get a cd cleaner yet..I'l try slow down my copying speed..but I think I'll give BM a shout tomoro and see what they do about these probs..cos wit MP I'd rather take advantage of it while I'm on it ...got rely irritated with it today..sigh..so drove home in silence this evening..:thumbdo:

thot id update this..ok so I bought a dry cd lens cleaner and put it through the cleaning process around 5 times cos the 1st time didnt work and after that alls good :)..it's back to working condition..
however I did give BMW a ring..they do have a tester cd which they play while the car is on the diagnostic machine..talk about reliance on that damn machine..and the bad side is you have to book the car in..sigh..however the BMW manager advised me not to use any cd lens cleaner with a solution and to only use a dry lens cleaner as he said, if the solution damages something in there and it's picked up, MP will refuse to pay for the deck.
Anyway at the moment going to test the deck till my next service and if any problems I will get BM to have a look at it :)..thanks again for the help

lol just when I thought all was ok with it..sooo yesterday it started juttering..:nonono:..now even on normal original non-mp3 cd's..

on top of that today my bluetooth hands free doesn't work..in the menu on the deck instead of there being a picture of the phone in the menu..theres 2 dashes like "- -"..it doesn't go into the telephone mode at all..is the bluetooth hands free part of the deck?...this is weird :sigh:

Thought id conclude this thread..if your cd player jutters and you have a bluetooth hands free system which is giving probs or has failed altogether..it's most likely your bluetooth controller unit and your radio's just ffine..:fencelook:
