Had a similar issue on my E90 last month. Drivers door would not unlock, but if I opened manually it would lock again. BMW replaced both front locks under MP - apparently its a common issue on the E90.

Your actuators in the door lock mechanism needs replacing. Common E90 problem. Also check the fuse, could be that.

That sounds fare. On the e46 they need to remove the window and mechanism to get the door lock out .
About 1.5 hours’ work

Please help I am so frustrated. My car bmw 320i e90 central lock system is not working after changing the battery. The car can start and it is drivable but front windows cannot open, central locking is not working it doesn't lock down but when I lock it manually it then able to unlock it. The hazards indicators are also not working.

What might be the fault? And how much to fix it? Any suggestions for the technicians who can do it for me cheaper in Durban or anywhere around kzn? Please share the contacts if possible.

You most likely shorted something while changing the battery and fried some of the electronics.
i hope this is not the case as that can be very expensive.
I would start with looking at the fuses.

+1 to this.

BMW also replaced my locks under MP, they became "sticky" and had a delayed reaction when pressing the open/close button.

Hope you get sorted soon!

Apparently we are suppose to do a battery calibration when installing a new battery or weird stuff like this happens . Some bmw tech say yes, some say no. Maybe look into that.
