E90 Coolant Warning

Hi Guys

i hope everyone is well.
So my old expansion tank picked up a crack after 1 year of use, and i replaced it with a brand new one, with new cap and the new bottles comes with a new sensor.

Filled new coolant and bled the system and the car was perfect for about 2 weeks with no warning lights, i was told that i must just check the level as it might drop a little.
About day 12 after fitting and bleeding the low coolant level popped up.
I got home and checked and the coolant did drop. I topped up and have been checking and it has not dropped in 3 days, how ever the coollant warning light is still on.
There is no visable leaks as well.

Could this be my water pump on its way out ?

That sensor might not have reset , if the fluid is holding above the sensor it might just need to be reseated and clipped back.

Hi Kavi
Thanks for your response.
Is it the sensor inside the bottle that shows max.

The sensor is placed to see the minimum point in most cases and the fluid acts as a conductive loop to complete the circuit. as its topped up and holding as you mentioned the error should have a rest available on the idrive system to cancel or you can use a OBD scanner to clear it.
