Guys,
Please tell for me, what does the Bluetooth sign on the pic mean?
Do I have an already installed Bluetooth module in my car? If so, how do I get it to work?
There is no icon showing on the car radio.

Your car does indeed have bluetooth telephone, but not the audio streaming function.

Here is how you connect your phone -

Hey Ferdi,
For some reason mine does not connect. Doesn't matter how long a pressure the phone key on the steering wheel or the radio.
It looks like my phone picks up the Bluetooth device though.

Can I add the audio streaming functionality?

It might be that USB is enabled as an option, but not BT. The fact that there’s no telephone option on the radio supports that. Why on earth someone wouldn’t add BT is a mystery.

You could probably just code in BT, but you don’t know if the BT aerial or mic was installed. On LCI cars, that would mean the wiring loom hasn’t been installed either.

You’ll never get BT streaming to work on that radio sticking to OEM; only get that with CIC Nav with Combox in the back.

I had the same issue as you.

Here is my thread where I got it sorted. Needed to purchase mic and antennae from bmw. Coded car myself (with assistance from Ratslaaf via this forum).

The easiest would be to check if you have r the mic installed.

I can see the mic in the console where the map lights are. Or so it looks. Where would I look for the antenna?

The antennae you will have to take the underpart of dash off from the passenger side to check. Rather confirm the mic part is installed because it's easier to check that.

Okay, so I remembered a mic in another car. In my car I cannot see the mic. I watched a video on YouTube on how to remove the console, but my i cannot take it apart.

Is there anyone in CT I can take the car to do the necessary checking?
