Hi gents, been a while since I posted an update. Looks wise, the car is still the same, but had maintenance done over the last few months.

The OFHG was done about a year ago, then I got a hectic oil smell in the car and the Valve cover gasket was done as well (Gasket was so brittle when it was removed), oil smell was sorted after that. At least all the oil leaks are sorted now, (first car that I got this right with :biglol: as other cars were all opels and they are known for oil leaks).

I also picked up a misfire occasionally on load and serviced the car + did a DIY on cleaning the Intakes (what a crap job lol but actually wanted to try this myself, used CRC Intake Valve Cleaner. Will do Walnut blasting next time). The Intakes got nice and clean actually, but they were horrific. Then upon assembling, I managed to break a ridge of the charge pipe (it was brittle though) where the C-clip goes in but installed it still and the charge pipe blew off 2 days later. Got an Aluminium one now from Midas, love the dumping sound.

Then in January car just started misfiring bad and the coils were replaced. I also installed DCI's and its amazing how much louder you can hear the turbos now, never really wanted to do this but now that its on, I won't go back.


Then in Feb, I done the brake discs (Hella) and brake pads (Brembo) as well, as my discs were running fairly low and I had some crappy brake pads (safeline) on from when I bought the car and it doesn't even seem to be wear on them, but the discs got worn down.


I also removed the secondary cats as I wanted to put on downpipes as well but that will have to wait now. I've been running MHD stg1+ also now for over a year and the car seems to be holding nicely. That's pretty much all for now, thanks for reading :thumbs:

So the life of N54 continues, had a few maintenance things done on the car again. First up, had the turbos replaced, wastegates were pretty shot but I never heard it rattle though and the seals were also leaking a lot. As much as I wanted to do the mamba upgrade, the timing wasn't right. Also had the sump gasket changed while the subframe was off.

Then I also changed to a 1-step colder plug, and could actually feel the difference the turbos made. Then after that we found that the valve cover was cracked :thumbdo: had that replaced as well.

Haven't done cosmetic changes as maintenance was always performed.

Wheels actually look nice on your black E90. Seen a few others with this wheel and wasn't too fond of them.

You really need to get those centre caps!

Glad you're still enjoying N54 motoring, I know what you mean about the maintenance.. All is soon forgotten, when you're pulling that engine hard though.. :smilebounce:
