e90 330i chips

Hi. I have a e90 330i. 2006 model with 130000km on the clock.
I have considered putting a chip to my car but I am totally ignorant.

Will the chip increase performance, reduce comsumption, reduce engine life span. Is it any good and worth putting to the car.

Please advise as I don't want to develop problems with my beautiful car.

You will feel a difference, but it wont be as huge as on a turbo car.
Did my previous 130i, and really made a difference. Maybe pop some of the sponsors on the forum a pm.
