Anways the dealer contacted me back saying that the car is no longer R385K because he will give me prime less 3 so he has to pay a portion of the interest and now the car is R420K...

as expected....i told him where he can stick it, i am new to BMW but im not a dumb ass, thats just bull dust. now there is one less customer at the RTB dealer.

im kinda put off after this one, can someone suggest a decent dealer i can deal with ?

Thats an absolute joke!

Prime-3 costs the dealer about R4000 from their profit which they make half back on by charging you on the Road and License and Reg.

The salesman has another buyer who is willing to pay full price, so chances are you just got fobbed off. Pull profit or none? You can see which one he went for. :nonono:

That is bullshit. I know on demos one of the dealers here in Durban added 10k to the price when I was looking to get it at prime less 5.

Junz, if you have time on your side, you can sniff out a good deal. I could have picked up a 320d, 2009 from a dealer for 245k, but there was a comment on the car, which will put off most people.

Trouble with that car was that it was a Roslyn BMW company car...:fencelook:
Which means you should have it checked out first ( I believe the reason for this thread.)

Good Luck, and if you get a 330d for a good price that meets all the criteria, I will take it

Looks like there are plenty of 330d's around these days:
