E90 330d steptronic gearbox

Hi Guys, new to the forum and hope this is the right place to post questions.

I have a 2008 330d with steptronic transmision. In normal drive position (i.e. not sport or steptronic selected) I have recently noted that the gear change from 3rd to 4th has become jerky. It is as if the box holds the gear too long and then jerks into 4th. It is not severe (yet) but it was not like this when I bought the car 5 or so years ago.

Is this something to be concerned about? The car still has motorplan to March 2014 and currently has 93,500km on the clock (hence my slight anxiety).

Doesn't sound normal. Book the car in to have it diagnosed if under MP. While you're at it, perhaps ask them to load the latest gearbox software for you. They normally charge R600+ for it, but if the gearbox is not changing properly they may not charge you for the update.

Also, have a look under the car for leaks before you take it in. Those gearboxes have a plastic casing which tend to crack.
