Will post an exhaust vid soon, it is quite soft though but the nice thing is that it doesn't sound too much like a diesel.

Yea, I've driven both and the LCI is much stronger, actually would have bought one if I wasn't so headstrong about finding a manual.

Is there a big reliability difference between the two? I did not know that they were different engines.

Nope - my pre-lci had 243k on the clock when i wrote it off... had no motor issues at all. just did maintenance as required... did plenty of research before i bought mine. couldn't find anything concrete around general common faults everyone experiences.
