Guys howzit I just need some advice I'm planning on buying a E90 330d LCI spec but I want to know what the problems these cars actually face and also I'm buying it for a daily so I'm looking for a reliable car but I also want it to push about 250wkw-300wkw and be reliable.

So what mods do I need for such power and will it be reliable and also how will fuel economy be

And what are the problems of these cars

Looking forward to the advice thanks

330d dont have any major problems if looked after properly contact madness perfomance or RK motion regarding perfomance upgrades ,dont know if youll get 250wkw and still remain "reliable" theres plently of threads regarding the 330d and perfomance use the search button .

I think you are better off either lowering your expectations in terms of power output or how reliable it will be.

The average modded e90 lci will see about 220-230kw at the wheels, yes you can more out of it, trying for 300kw and reliable is pie in the sky, unless you talking about a built motor that has all the upgrades possible.

Typical power to expect from a tuned 3.0d is around 220kw / 800nm on the wheels.
If you want 300kw you are likely going to have to fit a massive Turbo and play a lot, those motors are solid but I have not seen a 300kw around..

Good luck with the search, MSport 330ds are rare to find in good shape!

Hi bud. You might want to lower your expectations a little. As Sash pointed out you can expect around 220-230wkw. You could push 300kw but you will be compromising reliability.

I think with a hybrid turbo you could probably get 250wkw reliably.

Weekpoint would be the autobox with the torque in my opinion.

300wkw is achievable. Torque can be set at a level where it won't hurt your box, as long as it's in good condition to begin with. A daily, for sure. Reliability well ours has been going for a year and no problems so far. Economy, yep its still there. And finally speed, the results show lol. 330d best bang for your buck and if you want all of the above just give us a call and you will be sorted. :smilebounce:

300wkw is possible with a massive hybrid/big turbo upgrade of just baby it with a bottle. cant imagine the wheel spin on 300wkw thou. quite happy with my 250wkw at the moment.

reliability well that highly possible with the correct preventative maintenance
