Hey fellow fanatics.

So Sundays is normally my day to wash my ride, check all fluid levels etc.
Whilst looking into the engine, I came across this pipe, looks like a manifold bit or
Downpipe bit but not sure(what is this)

Although its solid , the pipe itself is quite flexible in
Terms of how it is mounted. Is this normal for it to be so flexibe?
Should I get it checked? Help. See pics below

that is the boost pipe, leading from the turbo compressor outlet to the inlet of the intercooler.
it has a rubber seal around its end, and is held onto the turbo with a collar only, so yes it is flexible and thats normal..

if you were to loosen the bolt fixing it in place and swing the collar around so you can pull the pipe out of its hole, you will understand exactly what im trying to say..

its also a very common place on the 330d where this rubber boot breaks or to pick up boost leaks, cost of this pipe from the agents is around 2k

Thanks Buddy, I also noticed theres some sweating around the compressopr side, looks like sludge, grease, oil, not sure, must I get the rubber replaced maybe ?
