Been ages since I've updated my thread
Car went in for a torn cv boot so changed both side to be safe.
I had gotten use to the power on the car and been to no events as such ...I went to a legal drag meetup 2 weeks back and had a blast until abother 330d gave me gaps from the line ...Problem on my car was getting off the line ..the torque comes in way to aggressively and I jus spin till end of second even if I pedal the throttle...I got frustrated and chatTed to the gent ....
Long story short I dropped my ecu at RK motion on Tuesday night and collected Wednesday after work...I refitted the ecu and even start up was different ...
The car gives a signature RK puff on start up ...I took the car out for a drive and could feel a big change in throttle response..allot more aggressive ...I use to push the pedal to around 30 percent before something happened now at around 10 percent and bang.....
I drove the car to put some mileage on the car and allow for adaptions...Friday I collected some fresh meth for Saturdays dyno ...
The car now has torque limiters so getting off the line is way bether. .I still have wheelspin but its controllable ....3rd gear is a beast and the car pulls really hard...in 4th gear the car comes alive and pulls like a train....as always the proof is in a dyno
Below is a before and after image of my previous file vs the new file..no hardware mods have change just the tuning
I also manged to get a run comparing 3rd gear and 4th
in the image below you can see the linear torque curve and how long it holds through the entire rev range as well as the in tial delay in torque to aid getting off the line
I guess you can't ask for more than to load a new file hit a dyno event and then take a prize...
