Does anyone have info on where to source the above?

Diesel electric and goldwagen a no go.

I got one from Bosch (iirc) in Bellville for my Valeo alternator on a 2005 120D (if i think what you mean). Are you talking about the removable part with the brushes on the back of the alternator? It was a pirate part though! I still have the box in which it came with my old brushes in it.

You see, the Spietkop knows these things. LOL

Lol yes. I diagnosed properly @OPC .

Replaced the Regulator and all is well. ECU even sees the alternator now, no more error
