Yeah, if your current vehicle is paid off and reliable, I would really think hard about replacing. If you are replacing, anything with M/plan and low kms is a must.
I do think its wrong for opinion/judgement to to be made on a vehicle based on the fuel consumption alone?
Look it is known the 325i isnt the most fuel efficient or powerfull in the range, but price-wise, refinement and reliability are plus points. Just for reference my, 2007 325i is averaging 9.4l/100km, with sensible driving, bearing in mind, mine is an auto. Obviously if a car is driven like a hooligan daily, it will return high fuel consumption, any vehicle for that matter. I would say opinions on the 325i would be different if fuel was cheaper. If you are watching fuel spend and costs then the 320d, is the one to get.
Fuel consumption is not the be all and end all of why BMW Fanatics buy BMWs...............:nonono:

understand that perfectly, and the reason i was so keen at first was because of the E46 325i , iv known a few people whove owned one and all have said only good, on the E90 im not so sure as most of in the know people iv spoken to have advised to rather stay away because issues like those mentioned above
i do lots of mileage and drive everyday, so my needs are more reliability over fuel consumption, and because of this Im choosing rather to be patient
but thanks for the advice though, i think an F30 320d will be awsome, i think i should save up for nice deposit
