E90 325i - Center console removal

Hi guys,

So yesterday, while trying to connect my phone via aux cable, the aux connection fell through inside the console (it was quite loose already) underneath the center armrest.

It's fallen quite deep down so I can't reach it normally. I've heard that the armrest console can unclip and I can reconnect the aux cover.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

Regards,

Same thing has happened to mine. You can get a little space by pulling the rear of it off at the back of the center console. And try push it through the hole. It's rather irritating. I've just left mine in there till I can make a plan to mount it.

Just be careful not to brake the bottom back clips

Yeah see I don't even see anything to 'unclip' the center console. It looks like I almost need to lift it using a flat nose screwdriver.

Okay I have some progress here but not much :nonono:

I was able to remove the cover of the handbrake which let me look underneath the center console. I found the aux housing with the cable connected, but my hands are too big to push the aux housing back through the hole under the armrest.

It seems feels as if the cables into the aux housing can be unplugged, but when I try it doesn't budge. Got any tips?

I was also able to unclip my rear aircon unit, but unfortunately the air vent is in the way so I cannot get my hand up and reconnect the aux house.

This is becoming a serious pain.
