E90 323i losing coolant

Good day ladies & gents

Apologies if this has been discussed before; can't seem to find a similar thread.

My dad drives a 2006 323i E90 Auto. It loses coolant rapidly. Under acceleration or when revving, there is water coming out of the exhaust- must top up frequently.

There are no oil and water mixing in the coolant resevoir, no misfire and no overheating.

The car has a fairly new waterpump, thermostat, radiator and oil cooler.

Please advice.

Check under the oil cap if there is any milky residue.

Does the car smoke a bit as well?

It could be head gasket but it could also be a water leak too as there are a lot of points that weaken with heat cycles.

No milky residue under oil cap and no smoking. Also thought head gasket; no symptoms other than coolant disappearing.

Were the O-Rings on all connecting pipes changed at the same time as water pump, thermostat, oil cooler and radiator?

It can't hurt draining the cooling system, pulling all the O-Rings and replacing them as they deteriorate and deform allowing for a bad seal.

If it is leaking that badly you should be able to find the leak with a pressure test.

There is a horribly difficult to reach water gasket at the back of the head which can leak and rust its retaining bolts.
