Hi everybody, first let me introduce myself. Im Morne and this is my first bmw and its going to be the family car, im a nissan man at hart but like the bmw. Its a 2007 white 323i and 75k on the clock in very good condition. First problem i got today is the doors not opening with the remote. After alot of reading up i replaced the 56 and 57 fuse with 20amp fuses. Disconected the battery also for reset. Now i got all the doors to work but the drivers side. Phoned Jean at house of BM and he quoted me R2800 to replace it.

So my question, is it the actuator for sure and is it a fair price?

Regards
Morne

Sounds like the actuator... had the same problem on my old E90.... dont remember spending that much to fix.... try someone else... or phone BMW for a price on the part and take it from there.:=):

I had the very same problem on my 2006 E90 323i. It started by blowing fuses. BMW replaced the actuator under plan. My LCI 320d, never had that problem, so seems like a pre-lci problem.

Get the actuator replaced and you should be good.
