I dissconnected the battery this weekend and a few ours later the power steering stoped working. When i turn the wheel it makes a humming sound, is dis the power steering pump?

Seems to be.... but normally before the power steering pump fails it starts to moan and that moaning gets louder until it packs up.

Sounds like your powersteering fluid might be low , battery won't have anything to do with your powersteering pump .

could also be power to the sterring... i got the same prob... but i'm rather just changing the damn thing coz troubleshooting it is a b!tch.
