E90 320D

Hey Guys

Just want to introduce myself. i Am now a proud owner of a 2011 320d that i recently took delivery of. This is my first BMW and loving every km with it :rollsmile:

Overall the car is clean but i did not get a spare key with the car and BMW wants to charge me 4K for a new key can anyone recommend a place that can supply and code a key for me?

i Also want to mod a few things here and there but i cant decide if i want splitters or a 1m bumper what is your guys opinion? After the bumper the rims are going gloss black and i want to put that carbon boot spoiler. i Also want to get a 335 defuser and then do the dual pipes at the back.

1M bumper is the way to go - it looks amazing. Check Firi's car out - best looking E90 i have ever seen.

Lovely car dude, i had a 2010 model Exclusive and damn it, that car was the best i have owned so far. I could only imagine what one with M-sport would have done for me...the endless options for styling.

it really is an amazing car if you don't mind me asking did you have to carry out any maintenance? How has your over all experience been? is there anything i need to look out for?

i have to be honest and say the thought has crossed my mind many times :rollsmile::rollsmile: but just to be safe i want to do some TLC on everything mechanical before i give her more motivation

yes indeed they are... they are the e92 reps if i am not mistaken they are 18s

Great car, not sure where you are located, but John at Leo haese sorted me out with a spare key. He mentioned the cost of the key is dependent on model and what features the vehicle has, but if you are in the Gauteng area, i would highly recommend him.

Besides an Oil service and brake fluid change I did last month the only other thing that needed doing was a burnt reverse bulb which costed 20 bucks.
the brake fluid change is also only done once every 2 years.
from the research that I have done before purchasing they are quite reliable, ive heard about damper pulley issue, a symptom would be abnormal vibration from the throttle, a decat could be also be healthy if mileage is high.

Thanks so much bud. i Have heard of the damper pulley issue aswell and i will be sure to have a look at it and maybe even change it for peace of mind. i have not checked if the car had a decat yet but i have to send her in for the brake fluid change as it is due.

Did you do your fluid changes yourself or did you take the car to bmw?

I took mine to John at Leo Haese BMW for both oil and brake fluid as he had a special running.
