I couldn't believe it when this guy told me the mileage on his car, we had to go to the car so I could see for myself and take a pic

Seems like I made a real good choice on my daily. It's really worth it to keep and maintain it then!

I thought the guy was bulls#itting me until I saw the car. The only things I saw wrong on the car was, one of the xenon bulbs was finished, the number plate light was broken, an a small dent on one of the doors. It's a manual, the driver says the car belongs to his friend, after the motorplan ended the owner took the car to an Indy and he was told to ignore the BMW computer regarding services and he must service every 15000km, and he's been servicing the car himself ever since. It's still on the original turbo and gearbox and engine hasn't been opened. It's on it's 3rd pair of shocks, all the other suspension components have been replaced.
The front wheel bearings were replaced early this year.

And lastly he says the car has never broken down and it's in daily use. He also says the owner won't sell it, he borrows the car to his friends when they have car problems.

very nice! thing is that if you have ever taken a diesel engine apart you will realize that these engines are bulletproof.. seriously over engineered to stand up to the diesel combustion process and very high dynamic compression ratio.

its usually the stuff bolted on to the engine that takes out the engine.. injectors overfueling, burning holes in pistons, turbo disintegrating getting swallowed by the engine, flaps getting ingested, ect..
